Trucks to the Max.

More of Max's marvellous mixture of mobile motoring machines.

Reid's Transport of Rangiotu (near Palmerston North) have had some unusual (for NZ) trucks over the years, including an International Transtar II, but this Kenworth conventional is fairly conventional.

 Renault trucks are sold by MTD in Palmerston North. This new model that Max has shot I haven't even seen yet.
Looks impressive in the silver/white livery of Post Haste, the courier division of NZ Post.

Big cab of a 500hp Volvo Globetrotter XL and trailer spread over 9 axles carries chemicals for Orica NZ.

 I wonder if they are scrap, or heading to aid a restoration.

Peter Trotter of Levin supplies fertiliser and lime. Being carted here in a Mack, which the rego plate suggests has 400hp.

The New Zealand Lumber Company started in the late 1940s supplying and carrying wood products.
Today the NZL Group has warehouse, storage and container facilities and large fleet of rigs like this International 9800.

Crawford Carrying began in Seaview near Wellington. This Isuzu EXZ carries a 20ft container on a skeletal trailer that appears to have a flat deck section at the rear.

Another Crawford rig, this time a Hino with a container lift for loading/unloading its own containers up to 40ft in length.

The AF Logistics rigs must be fairly numerous past Max's house, I would imagine, given that Foodstuffs' distribution warehouse servicing the lower North Island, is in Palmerston North. An AF Scania rig, operated by Winiata Transport passes by.

420hp of Volvo FM12 wears a Hookers name on the door, but is not in Hookers usual colours. Maybe a company they have recently purchased?

Seymours Transport operate stock trucks and have a base at Glen Oroua, near Palmerston North, but I think they originated elsewhere.
One of their FH Volvo Globetrotters hums past.

Car Distribution Group has in excess of 100 units operating in New Zealand, transporting mostly new cars to dealers.
This Scania rig has a 5/8 load of Toyota products.

Seymours Transport again. This time pulling a 5 axle trailer. These rigs can carry slightly heavier and longer loads under a special licence, providing they display an "H" placard, as seen on the front bumper of this Freightliner Argosy.
